Moose Hunting

Chasse à l'orignal au Québec, Canada

Air Mont-Laurier and its outfitting facilities have quite a past history and its unfolding gave rise to all sorts of situations, which could very well inspire our President, Norman Ouellette, when he sits down to write his memoirs of 48 adventure-thrilling years.

Norman Ouellette: bush pilot

In truth, Norman Ouellette became a bush pilot not because of his enduring passion for planes, but rather as a means to provide an opportunity for outdoor buffs to experience memorable moments. Hum…amazing don’t you think! Seaplanes make it possible to fly people to unusual wide open spaces… why so unusual? Well, there are no roads.

Exceptional shelter for moose

Choosing the right territory was therefore of prime importance. The first to be selected and developed in 1976 was Tibériade Outfitter. Divided by the Némikachi River, the terrain is exceedingly rough and an exceptional moose reserve. Natural passes are the only migration routes and it is a known fact, that hunting in Tibériade sub-territories provides great thrills. A natural lake system allows pike and walleye fishing expeditions in untrammelled nature, where one can enjoy an unscheduled life.
